Fantastische Interpretation des Rodney-Crowell Originals von 1980. Lee Ann schafte mit dem Song 2001 einen # 4 in den Country-Charts (# 45 Pop). Gehört für mich zu ihren besten Liedern und rangiert auch bei meinen Fave-Country Songs ganz oben!!! Der Text geht mir immer wieder nah... Im Vergleich zum Original wurde hier mehr produziert/arrangiert ... klingt nun druckvoller und bombastischer. Besonders der schwarze Background und die emotionale Stimme von Lee Ann verleihen dem Song neuen Glanz ...

Wiedermal eine exzellente Review von Lark;-) Und ich kann mich da nur anschließen. Eine wunderbar eindringliche Country-Nummer, die bewegt, unter die Haut und ins Ohr geht. Perfekt arrangiert, toll gesungen. Besonders den Hammer-Refrain werde ich einfach nicht mehr los!
