EDIT: How I only ever gave this a 5* I'll never know. This track is an absolute killer. Everything about this is brilliant. 2011 was a big year musically for me, with some of my all time favourites coming from last year. This is definitely one of them. An easy 6*.

I am not a fan, and I was probably never going to like this in the first place. Too much focus is on the hook and I find it to be much cringeworthy. The verses are not a saving grace as I still find her style to be annoying.

Opinion's definitely changed. Took some time, but the track is now super hot. Can definitely see the appeal, the chorus is mega catchy, and the raps are great too! Definitely her best to date, also love the clip too.

This could have been a 4 or 5 star song based solely on the chorus. It loses a star for the dreadful rapping that goes on in the chorus where she sounds like a 5 yeard old rapper. And then she loses another star for the crazy shift in style towards the end. At least the chorus helps me understand the appeal of the song. But overall it is very mediocre and I'm being generous giving it a 3. |

Mag Rap nicht so, aber Nicki Minaj ist einfach toll, bisher gefiel mir alles von ihr. "Super Bass" ist sowieso ihr bisher erfolgreichster Hit und verkaufte sich alleine in den USA über 2.000.000 mal - was bisher noch nie eine Rapperin als Lead-Sängerin schaffte!
Auch bei uns kommt der Song endlich langsam, aber sicher in die Charts. Das gute: Der Song bleibt total hängen - DER Ohrwurm! Der Refrain verfolgt einem einfach Tag für Tag... sogar nach dem ersten Mal hören... und ja, so wars auch bei mir, wodurch ich ihn immer wieder hörte und mittlerweile liebe :)
