The charts from 29/1995 and 3/2003 (currently missing from the database) will be posted in this thread. I already posted these in the hitparade.ch forum but I believe more Finnish chart fans will find them here. Each chart will also include last week's positions and total weeks on chart (until that point). Last edited:

The missing Finnish singles charts are finally here! From the first weekly charts (September 1985) to the unreleased official charts of 1994 and 1995. 10 years of bliss. Album charts from the same era are on their way...
Nice to hear that the pre-1995 charts will also be available here. There is one more chart missing from the database in addition to the ones mentioned above. The singles chart from the week 6/1998 has been replaced with a duplicate of the previous week's chart. The IFPI chart database has the same problem. Unfortunately, I don't have the complete chart, but here's a partial reconstruction of the top 20 based on the following week's chart and the top 10 published in Billboard.

Hello Timo, I have a few questions about the finish weekly singles and album charts from 1985-1995. What is the source of the charts? Are they radio or sales charts? The other problem is the date of the charts. For example: the first single charts started in week 36/85. By using the official calendar it should be the week from September 02 to September 08 in 1985. Is that right? And on which day of the week the charts were published/made public? Did the publication date change over the years? According to the official calendar at the end of 1987 there was a week 53 (December 28, 1987 to January 03, 1988). But in the finnish chart lists after week 52/87 there follows week 01/88. So, were there no charts in week 53, were they forgotten or week 01/88 in the list are the charts of the official calendar week 53/87 and all the following chart dates have to be corrected (week 2/88 in the list = week 1/88 in the official calendar and so on? Hope You or any other chart expert have the correct answers. Thanks in advance.
Hi Johnny. Those days there were several sales charts compiled in Finland, some of them monthly, some biweekly and in the early 90s we had two weekly charts before the official YLE weekly chart began in 1994. All of them are mentioned in Finnish in the left column.
My charts are quite a complicated combination of all those sales charts. There can't be a specific publishing date for any of them because the charts were compiled only recently. No airplay information was used.
One more thing. The charts from 1994 and 1995 are the official Finnish charts compiled by YLE. I added them to the site because they're not available anywhere else.
