Erneut beweisen Fear Factory vor allem in den langsamen Stücken wie 'Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies)' oder '(Memory Imprints) Never End' mit gelegentlichen tosenden Gitarren-Infernos, dass sie ein todsicheres Händchen für Atmosphäre und eindringliche Songs besitzen. Der Rest walzt in bester Fear Factory-Manier alles kompromisslos nieder, nicht eindimensional geknüppelt, sondern eher mit etlichen Rhythmus- und Tempi-Wechseln garniert. Das siebte Album, welches die Angstfabrik bislang verließen, zeichnet sich stets durch Weiterentwicklung aus, Stagnation scheint ein Fremdwort für die Kreativlinge. So klingt (natürlich) auch 'Digimortal', eine Wortkreation aus Digital Mortality, also Digitale Sterblichkeit, wieder einmal anders als das Vorgängeralbum, ohne die typischen Trademarks des Band-Sounds (Dino's Riffs, Raymond's überirdisches Drumming und speziell Burton's charismatischer Gesang) zu vernachlässigen. Stellvertretend hierzu sei der Track 'Back The Fuck Up' erwähnt, bei dem B-Real von Cypress Hill kräftig mitrappen durfte.<br>
