Sehr gute neue Single des sehr sympatischen Australiers. Der Drop ist zwar nicht wirklich meins, aber auch abgesehen davon überzeugt mich "Black & Blue" sehr - inklusive dem tollen Single-Cover.<br><br>Hoffe auf einen Hit für ihn. 5*

The verses are bland and the chorus doesn't pick things up in any way, and then there's a beat drop just there because it's the trendy thing to do at the moment, but even that's half-hearted. This whole song sounds like it was just churned out so that he had something new to promote on X-Factor. The only moment of interest comes towards the end of the bridge where Guy actually sounds like he might be interested in doing something not completely monotonous, but it's way late by then.

For sure a jump on the bandwagon. I still enjoy this two years on however. The production isn't too bad. This does have the benefit of Guy's vocals being great as usual. The drop is silly but isn't as out of place as I would've expected. Emotional lyrics which I can definitely relate to as well. A solid, though forgettable addition to his increasingly extensive back catalogue.
