Der Beginn hat mich gar nicht gross mitgenommen - aber wenn er dann mit seinem:<br><br>"Darling, nobody said that it would last forever<br>That doesn't mean we didn't try to get there<br>I never said that we would die together<br>That doesn't mean it was a lie, remember<br>Nobody said that it would last forever<br>Forever, forever, forever"....... beginnt, bin ich voll dabei, bekomme Tränen in die Augen und einen Kloss im Hals (Erinnerungen). Eine gefühvolle Interpretation von Lewis Capaldi der von dezentem Piano begleitet ist.

Lewis delivers a passionate and heartbreaking vocal which sells the sadness described in the lyrics. The lyrics are particularly touching, describing a broken relationship that in spite of the sadness brings with it no bitterness; just because things didn't work out, it doesn't mean there weren't some great times. As always, the piano is a perfect choice to accompany a song with this kind of theme, bringing with it another touch of heartbreak with every note. The vocal melodies are also fantastic; the verses are so engaging with the stop/start nature and then the chorus with the final word being separated from the rest of each line by a pause is so effective. This is poignant and lovely, and definitely makes me want to hear a lot more from Lewis in the future.
