**** The one issue with post '90s Manics is that there's a lacking in hunger. After Richey's disappearance and the band's big comeback, it just feels like the band's narrative has finished and they're just sticking by the numbers and perpetuating strong sales. It's still solid, they've always had one of the best ears for melody, and James always has great conviction in his voice, but I do long for the sheer anger of "The Holy Bible". |
